The coloured cement tiles are made of sand, cement and dye using the semi-dry pressing technology. The tiles are highly resistant to abrasion ( 0,8 g/ m2 ) and freeze resistant (F50). The tiles consist of two layers – base layer and decorative layer. The decorative layer is colourful and with a smooth or relieved surface. The tiles are used for decking floors and areas in the interior as well as exterior. There are plenty of colour compositions available, as well as individual designs. Patterned tiles used to be very popular at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century; a German company “Carl Nevermann &Co” was operating in Riga and by recovering the technology we are able to reconstruct floor deckings in many architectural monuments.
